Vancouver Iaido, Shogun Bootcamp, and behind the scenes

Vancouver Eishin Ryu Iaido Club, Esaka Dojo Vancouver,  had a small part to play as official Instructors of Swordsmanship to the Toranaga Shogunate's troops.

A few years ago, @shogunfx asked @bullseye_stunts_inc  to meet Inoue Hiro sensei, and members of the club to see if we could help put on this production as official consultants and instructors of  iaido to the SAE, BG, stunt performers and some of the cast. 

We had two weeks to teach basic sword work to nearly 100 troops during the Shogun Boot camp. 

Iaido as we study it in the dojo may not appear on screen, however you will see our hard work put into this production. 

Special thanks to the head of our dojo, Hiro Inoue, Lash, and Shogun FX for giving us the opportunity to help with this epic adventure. 

Vancouver Iaido Class Schedules:

Student Recreation Centre, UBC

Saturday:  9:30am to 11:30am

Tuesday:  6:30pm to 8:00pm

Thursday:  6:30pm to 8:00pm

Marpole Community Centre

Fridays:  5:45pm to 7:15pm
