Hi All,

Due to German Seminar in June this year, our Kokusai Renmei seminar changed to September 6th (Thu), 7th (Fri), 8th (Sat) & 9th (Sun).
Location is still @ Sanfrancisco, First 3 days are for Iai seminar & Enbu-kai, Grading Test on Sunday.

I hope no body bought plane ticket yet.

New Year's Practice 2012

"Hi All,

I'd like to let you know Kokusai Renmei seminar dates are determined as July 26th (thurthday) to 29th (Sunday) 2012 @ Sanfrancisco USA.

Andrej sensei is planning for 4 days seminar, but it might be little too tough for Esaka sensei. So I'll discuss about this with Esaka sensei.

I'll let you know more details later. Anyway, it's the last weekend of July this year.

This seminar is the first Kokusai Renmei Iaodo seminar in North America, but you don't have to be a member to attend this.

Everybody (even ZNIR members) are welcome to join this seminar.

Esaka sensei & his crew are coming from Japan to teach us.

So let's make a trip schedule ahead.

"Happy New Year everyone.I have some information about upcoming events.We will be celebrating New Year on Tuesday,January 3rd at the Blue Star Japanese Bistro at 1935 West 4th Ave. in Kitsilano.Even though classes do not officially start at the UBC Student Rec Centre until Tuesday January 10th,we will have a class on Tuesday,January 3rd at our usual time of 6:30 pm.before going to the restaurant.Those of you who can not make it to the practice at 6:30 pm can go directly to the restaurant about 8:00pm.
We will be having our winter seminar at the Scottish Cultural Centre located at 8886 Hudson Street on Saturday,January 7th.The morning session is from 10:00 AM. until 12:00 noon.The afternoon session is from 2:00 pm. until 4:00 pm.The cost for each session will be $15.00.We will be ordering sushi party trays from Sushi King for our lunch break from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm.Sensei suggested that everyone from our dojo contribute $10.00 for the cost of the lunch so that we can order enough food to allow us to treat our out of town attendees to lunch.We will also need some people to arrive early on Saturday morning[about 9:00 am.] to set up for the seminar-sweeping the floor,collecting money from and issuing receipts to the attendees,etc
Classes at the Marpole Community Centre located at 59th and Oak begin on Friday,January 13th at the usual time of 5:45 pm.The cost is $99.00 for 12 sessions.
See you all at the New Year's celebration on Tuesday.."
