For our last renshu @marpoleoakridgecc of the Summer Term, we did not have our typical iaido class.
Tonight we had special guest and close friend of the dojo - Kenji Sato (@samurai_fighting). who's acting and stunt credits include @shogunfx season 1, The Last Samurai, Snake Eyes, Power Rangers, Rurouni Kenshin, Fist of the North Star, Resident Evil and many, many others.While working on a well-known samurai production that filmed in Vancouver this year, Kenji-san came to our Marpole dojo to give our members a crash course in 殺陣 (tate). It gave our members a taste of samurai film/stage fighting and a chance to compare and contrast what we see on screen vs what we practice in the dojo.
