Muromachi era Daido Wakizashi

A koto from late Muromachi (1574) recently acquired by one of our members.  This wakizashi is mumei, but has been attributed by a swordsmith named Daido by the NBTHK and is papered as a Hozon - worthy of preservation.

Complete set of fittings including shirasaya and 繋ぎ, Tsunagi

The interesting thing about this blade is that history suggests that Daido was the personal swordsmith to Oda Nobunaga.
