Hi guys.The Gasshuku will be held on Saturday,August 11th and Sunday,August 12th in Ladysmith,B.C. on Vancouver Island.We stay at Peter Gunstone Sensei's home located at 281 Bayview in Ladysmith.His telephone number is 250-924-8114.



Those of you who want to sleep in the house just need your sleeping bag or bring a sleeping bag and tent if you want to sleep in the back yard.


We can arrive on Friday,August 10th because the Saturday morning practice runs from 10:00 am.until 12:00 noon.There is a Deli lunch available at a cost of $10.00 per person.The afternoon practice runs from 2:00 pm. until 4:30 pm.


There is a BBQ at Peter Sensei's house starting any time after 5:00 pm.Everything is provided[pop,buns,chips,etc.]except meat,fish,or whatever else people wish to BBQ.


On Sunday,August 12th there is a practice from 10:00 am. until 12:00 noon.


The cost for the practice sessions is $25.00 per session or $75.00 for the weekend.


We always have a fantastic time at this event,so if it's at all possible,I urge everyone to attend.

Message from Ron as follows:
Hi guys.The Gasshuku will take place on the weekend of Saturday, August 11th and Sunday,August 12th,2012.Friday,August 10th evening arrivals are okay.We will be staying at Peter Gunstone Sensei's house[address and directions to follow on an E-mail closer to the event] so bring your sleeping bags and a tent if you plan to sleep outside.


Classes on Saturday,August 11th will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.There will be a Deli Lunch available between the morning and afternoon sessions at a cost of $10.00 per person.There will be a BBQ at Peter Gunstone Sensei's house on Saturday evening.Buns,salad,potato chips,etc. will be provided;but you have to bring your own meat and /or fish for the BBQ.


On Sunday,August 12th there will be a class from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.


All classes will be held at the Ladysmith Primary School.The cost is $75.00 for the weekend or $25.00 per session.Low income and students can make arrangements with Peter Gunstone Sensei.

All iaidoka are welcome to attend the Todokai 11th Annual Gasshuku that will be held on August 11 and 12th, 2012. Friday night arrivals are Ok and classes will be Saturday 10 to noon, then a deli type lunch will be served and then 2-4:30. The BBQ(bring your own meat/fish????...we supply buns,salad etc) from 5:00PM. Classes Sunday 10 to noon. The classes will be at The Ladysmith Primary School and the BBQ and camping will be at my home as per usual.... please RSVP so we can plan for all who attend and this will also reserve your spot....$75 for the whole weekend or $25 /session and deli lunch $10...low income and students please make arrangements with me....thankyou and hope to see you.....Peter
