Let's add following info on CIA web.

Practice Time:
* June 3rd (Friday) @2 pm to 4 pm (2 hours) & 6 pm to 8 pm (2 hours)
* June 4th (Saturday) @10 pm to Noon (2 hours) & 2 pm to 4 pm (2 hours)
* June 5th (Sunday) @10 pm to Noon (2 hours)    

Shoudan Shinsa (Dan exam) & Free practice or Embu kai

Here is a brief report of Boston Seminar :

Iai seminar was held in Boston MA. USA (at Cambridge War Memorial Recreation Centre), hosted by Boston Iai Dojo.

The seminar was for 4 days long on Thursday Sep. 23rd, Saturday 25th, Sunday 26th & Monday 27th. (refer attached PDF file)

Around 20 people gathered on this seminar, this year's special guest instructor was Wout sensei from Belgium & myself as usual.



First day, we did introduction of Iaido, I was glad to see some of familiar faces, but many were new members. People are "Come & Go", as everywhere.

From second day, We divided into 2 groups, switched back & forth to meet all students. Covered mostly Batto-ho & Seiza no Bu.

On Sunday afternoon, we had Sho-do (Japanese calligraphy, see attached photos) demonstration by Imai sensei, then followed by our Iai Embukai.



It was quite successful seminar, They arranged a huge beautiful gym for this seminar (12,000 Sq. feet / about same size as last Nanaimo seminar).



I thank to Cuong, Tam & dojo members for their hospitality & hard work.

Marpole Class Started

Hi everyone, Marpole dojo had it's first class this friday and it was a pretty good turnout.  9 students in the the new dojo and there was still room for more.  Class officially starts at 6pm but Sensei will be there from 5:30 pm and he's encouraging anyone to come out a bit earlier for some extra practice.  It's a good opportunity to get some one-on-one instruction and ask any questions you may have.

Classes are Friday night from 6pm (officially) to 7:30pm, drop in fee is $8

Thank you for your continued support and hope the two dojos (UBC and Marpole) continue to grow.

Three Day Seminar in Boston

Hi All,

Just an announcement for the upcoming seminar in Boston next month.  Hiro sensei will be going there to to facilitate along with Wout Verschueren Sensei from Belgium.  This three day event will be held on September 23, 25, and 27.  For those of you who wish to go, please speak to sensei to make arrangements as soon as possible.
