Announcements - Powell Street Schedule Change and Gassuku Reminder

Hi All,

Just a couple of announcements, first regarding Powell Street Festival.  Our demonstration time has been moved to the following time slot:

1:15pm  - 1:45pm

Please ensure that if you are planning to be part of the demonstration, make sure you come to practice this Saturday, July 30th.

Also, Peter Gunstone sensei has requested some numbers and who is planning on attending this year's gassuku on the island.  So far as I know, myself, Vincent C, Konstantine, and Ron are planning on going, not sure who else. 

This is a great chance to meet iaidoka from other dojos, to get to know them as well as share things that we learn. 

Please come and talk to me in class and let me know as we are also organizing rides.

Hi all,

We are happy to announce the 10th annual gasshuku hosted by Todo Kai. It will be held on August 20 and 21, 2011 in Ladysmith at the Ladysmith Intermediate School on French Street. As in previous years please bring a tent and camp in my yard. Classes Saturday will be from 10:00 AM to noon...then a deli-type lunch will be offered ...afternoon class 1:15 to 3:15PM. Saturday BBQ at my home from 5:00PM. Sunday morning practice ....10:00 AM to noon. Please RSVP (gunshot@shaw.ca) to book a space.....thanx....

Update on Powell Street Festival Scedhule

Looks like there's been a change of schedule to our demonstration at the Powell Street Festival.  We're slotted in to demonstrate at 12:30PM now, but please stay posted as this may change again.

Message from Ron Re: Powell Street Festival

Hi guys.

Our Dojo has been asked to do a demonstration at the Powell Street festival on Saturday,July 30th at 12:45 pm.We will begin practicing next week.All of you who are interested in participating in the Demonstration should join us at the classes at UBC on Tuesdays and Saturdays so that we can practice together.Doing this Demonstration is a lot of fun.Also, the Dojo receives some money and the people participating in the Demonstration receive food vouchers to eat free at the various food stalls at the Festival.
